Success Story

Bai Khiem (Kevin) Ha

Graduating from the University of Auckland Certificate in Foundation Studies gave Kevin the pathway he needed to start a conjoint Bachelor of Health and Bachelor of Laws degree programme at the University of Auckland. It also gave him the opportunity to relearn, in English, the scientific subjects he needed for his degree programme.

“The course really helped enhance what I had learnt at school, especially Chemistry and Biology. These were my weakest subjects, but the teachers helped me challenge myself to understand the content and develop critical thinking skills.”

Kevin ended up as the top achiever in Chemistry and Biology at UP International College, giving him the confidence for future studies. Eventually, he hopes to do a PhD in population nutrition and work in public health.
