Preparation for Foundation is a specialised two-year programme that gives ambitious young students a powerful head start to a successful future.
It’s designed to fast-track international students aged 14-17 years to an UP Education Foundation Studies programme, from where they transition smoothly to one of our three prestigious university partners in New Zealand. The benefits of the programme are exceptional. It offers streamlined, flexible, highly focused learning and an immersive and supportive environment, with guaranteed access to a superior university education from an early age.

Preparation for Foundation is equivalent to the New Zealand national curriculum taught in New Zealand secondary schools, and offers the same key curriculum subjects: English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Business Studies, Music, Art, Drama and Physical Education.
