The University of Auckland Certificate in Foundation Studies prepares students for entry to UP Education partner university, the University of Auckland.
To qualify for the Certificate in Foundation Studies, students must successfully complete the full requirements of four passes (40%) and gain an IELTS score of 6.0, or English B grade minimum. For guaranteed entry to the degrees, students also need minimum aggregate marks and any additional requirements that are specified – please refer to the University of Auckland Certificate in Foundation Studies prospectus.
This foundation qualification has also been approved for entry to several Australian universities, including The Australian National University (ANU), The University of Adelaide, La Trobe University and Monash University.
Students who enrol in the University of Auckland Certificate in Foundation Studies will receive two offers of place – a letter of offer for the foundation course and a conditional offer of place for the University of Auckland. A confirmed offer of place will be issued by the University of Auckland when students have successfully completed the Certificate in Foundation Studies.
All New Zealand Universities accept the University of Auckland Certificate in Foundation Studies qualification as meeting University Entrance. Over 10,000 students have been through the foundation programmes delivered by UP Education on behalf of various New Zealand universities. Most students continue onto their original choice of university from their foundation programme, however for some, circumstances change and they look to complete their degree overseas.
