The Campbell Institute is the only English language school in New Zealand formally accredited by Victoria University of Wellington. Our friendly campuses in Auckland offer a wide variety of English language programmes and academic study pathways to New Zealand high schools and universities.
Part of UP Education, Campbell offers non-IELTS pathways to Foundation Studies at Victoria University of Wellington. We’re also an NZQA Category 1-rated English language school, which means we offer work rights for students wishing to work while they study.

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) assesses the English language proficiency of people who want to study or work where English is used as the language of communication. This course prepares you to sit the IELTS exam – Academic or General modules.
This programme is for students who need to pass a PTE Academic exam. The Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) is an English test trusted by universities, colleges and governments around the world.
The Campbell Institute Wellington campus offers English language pathway programmes for students seeking direct entry into the Victoria University of Wellington Foundation Studies Programme.

The University of Cambridge CELTA course is a practical, hands-on teaching qualification for native English speakers and non-native speakers with a very high level of English.
Our excellent Student Services team is on hand to help with everything from banking, transport and visas to free SIM cards, phone top-ups and accommodation.
We offer academic counselling, pathway planning, job-hunting support and travel advice, as well as insurance claim processing for Campbell-administered insurance policies. Native language support is available to students in several different languages.
On arrival, all students receive a Campbell Student Information Pack, outlining all the great support services we offer.

Demi au Pair: Students provide their earliest possible starting date. Once a demi au pair family has been assigned, a start date suiting student and family will be arranged. General English/IELTS Prep courses start every Monday, Cambridge CAE courses start January and September.

A Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 15 percent is inclusive where applicable. The New Zealand Government Education Export Levy of 0.89 percent is calculated on tuition and course-related costs for international students.
Students must be over 14. Our internal testing system determines the level you start studying at, from Elementary to Advanced.
Students must be over 14, with English language proficiency at Intermediate level or above.

We have well-equipped campuses in both Wellington and Auckland.
The Campbell Institute first opened its doors in Wellington in 2002, and has since grown to be the capital city’s largest and best-known English language school. The campus has free ultra-fast Wi-Fi, with 15 classrooms, a Student Centre with library and computers, a lunch area, and even a movie room.
Wellington hosts a range of educational facilities, including three world-ranked universities and three highly regarded technology institutes. Campbell is right in the heart of the action, within a 3km radius of more than 15 tertiary providers.
